We distinguish anthracite grades by fixed carbon, ash, volatile matter, moisture and commercial size fraction.
Material characterization and acceptance
We specify anthracite by fixed carbon, ash, volatile matter, sulphur, moisture and commercial size fraction on a stated analytical basis. Fuel, metallurgical-carbon and filtration applications require separate acceptance criteria. Fixed carbon is a proximate-analysis balance, not an elemental-carbon assay.
Process compatibility and end-use requirements
Industrial heating
We review net calorific value, ignition behaviour, ash characteristics and sizing against the combustion system; low volatile matter affects ignition and burner compatibility.
Metallurgical carbon
We assess carbon contribution, ash, sulphur and size for the intended metallurgical route; carbon recovery and addition practice depend on the receiving process.
Water filtration
We require application-specific effective size, uniformity coefficient, abrasion resistance and water-contact suitability; fuel-grade certification does not establish filter-media acceptance.
